Jacksonville Magazine Feb '12

PBJC is excited to be referenced in an article in Jacksonville Magazine's February 2012 issue.

The pool was originally designed by Brian Van Bower of Aquatic Consultants.  The design is a Knife-edge perimeter overflow, vanishing edge pool - in which, the vanishing edge trough is condensed to ~8" of width, to save room.  This particular detail requires a collector tank to store the water and handle surge.

During the house construction by C.F. Knight, the homeowner decided to add a spa.  Pools by John Clarkson's lead consultant Joel Hartman worked with the homeowner to design the hot tub (not pictured here.)  The final plan included sloped seats and a Captain Chair with extra jets in deeper water for additional therapy.

October Pools of the Month

We received an email this week from Pool & Spa Living (a leading industry and consumer focused magazine and website.) The e-mail informed us that they have a new section on their website which features ~10 pool pictures as "Pools of the Month;" and that one of ours was chosen!
PBJC feels honored to be included with the other beautiful pools / great pool builders.

Jacksonville Pool Builder earns high honor

Each year Aqua Magizine selects 11 projects to feature as an "Aqua Choice" winner. Of these, only 3 are concrete swimming pools.

This year Jacksonville's very own Pools by John Clarkson, was selected to be featured in the February edition and on the cover!

The wonderful thing about winning awards is that a prospective pool buyer can get a good, honest and objective “third party” opinion about a builder’s quality of workmanship. We don’t mind bragging a little that we’ve won more than forty regional, national and international awards in the last 20 years. At some point, the phrase “award-winning” starts to feel like an understatement.

Most of these awards were determined by independent third party experts who know a lot about pools, such as The Association of Pool and Spa Professionals, the National Spa and Pool Institute, Aqua Magazine, The Aquatech Society and the Pool and Spa News national industry magazine.
